9TH BLAUSEE SWIM 2026
For the ninth time, the popular Blausee Swim in aid of the âFreude herrschtâ Foundation will take place on Sunday, 6 December 2026. A total of 500 âTough Cookies & herti Siecheâ will plunge into the Blausee and swim through the 5-degree water for a good cause. They will be cheered on by around 1,000 spectators.
What began as a light-hearted event in 2016 has, within a short space of time, developed into one of the best-known and largest âice swimsâ in Switzerland. The winter swim in Lake Blausee in aid of the âFreude herrschtâ Foundation, founded by former Federal Councillor Adolf Ogi, now attracts swimmers from all over Switzerland and neighbouring countries and has already achieved cult status. Thanks to all the swimmers, a substantial sum of over CHF 20,000.00 is raised for the foundation each year. The swim sells out completely in no time at all.
Registration for this event has not yet opened. Registrations will be accepted from 6 April 2026 at 6.00 pm.
Incidentally, in 2025, all starting places were snapped up within an hour!
